Tips and tricks for beginners in Call of Dragons

Call of Dragons is very similar to Rise of Kingdoms – both games offer users to build a city with its own army, economy, and technology. All this is needed to become a competitive player and enter the battle for the most valuable rewards that will make you even stronger.

Few people think about the fact that the key to fast progress through the levels – a good start. And how many mistakes beginners make in an effort to reach a high level as quickly as possible! Some people improve buildings and find that they don’t have an army that can defend them. Others multiply first level troops, draining all the resources, and can’t build a city properly.

To get you off to the perfect start, we wrote this guide. In it, we’ve shared tips on Call of Dragons and told you what you need to pay special attention to.

Call Of Dragons Beginner Guide Tips & Tricks

Upgrade all of your buildings to a common level

You need to do this in order to unlock all of the game’s features in a timely manner. Many players do so: spend only those improvements that are needed to pump the main building. Everything else is of no interest to them… until a certain point.

In Call of Dragons, all buildings are linked. Without improving one, it is impossible to improve the other. For example, the Walls cannot be upgraded without upgrading the Hospital. The Hospital, on the other hand, requires improvement of resource buildings.

To minimize problems when untangling the “tangle” of upgrades, it is recommended to take your time and pump all buildings to one level before moving on to another. This approach will allow you to evenly improve both technology and troops, and extract enough resources to keep the economy at a consistently high level.

We also advise opening up the second turn of construction to make the process go faster. At the beginning of the game, you will have a special ticket to unlock the feature for free. Then you will have to purchase it for diamonds. But if you upgrade buildings regularly, the costs will quickly pay off.

Constantly load up your commanders with tasks

Strong commanders are a strong legion. In Call of Dragons, troops function solely under the command of heroes. Accordingly, the strength of the troops is determined not only by their numbers, but also by the characteristics of the hero at the head.

Your task is to constantly challenge the available heroes. And we recommend pumping only epics (purple) and legends (orange). Rare commanders lose relevance too early.

Send troops with heroes to fight mobs and mine resources. Do this regularly, using up all available action points (CP). In this way you will increase the level of your characters, and with them improve their talents.

Do research and create troops on a regular basis

While your buildings are being built and your heroes are busy gathering resources or destroying the evil Darklings, recruit troops and research. Increasing the number of legions will allow you to fight stronger mobs on the map (or attack other players’ settlements). Improving your technology will give a boost to your city and army, and unlock new units for recruiting.

When developing technology, it is advisable to start with the economic section. Improve the Architecture I attribute to the maximum to reduce the time it takes to build buildings. This is your main goal at the beginning. If you want to get more out of it, research Container Upgrade I and Military Leadership I. The first increases the maximum amount of CP points, and the second increases the hero’s experience for victories in campaigns.

Once you are done with economic research, switch to the military section. Here, your task is to unlock second-level units. Once you do this, it becomes much easier to resist mobs and real players.

Go through all the game modes in a row

Loaded up all the builders? Assigned troop training and lengthy research? Spent all your CP points and improved all your heroes? Move on to the other game modes.

In Call of Dragons, the Dragon Trail and Tales PvE missions are available to you.

The Dragon’s Path is a set of linear missions in which you must destroy legions of enemies. The further you go, the stronger your opponents become. Therefore, you need to constantly increase the number and quality of troops. Which you will, in fact, successfully do if you follow our advice above.

Stories is a side story quest format in which you have to listen to the characters and complete a few not very difficult quests. It doesn’t take much time, but it gives you great prizes: diamonds, boosters, gold keys, chests, and even characters. And the stories themselves are more or less interesting. By the way, we highly recommend diving into the game’s lore, because it’s interesting. It won’t be a waste of time.
