There are a wide variety of weapons available in XDefiant, and sometimes it’s not easy to know which one is the most effective. My tier list provides comprehensive information about the characteristics of each weapon and its effectiveness in combat to help you make the best choice.
Best Weapons in XDefiant: Full tier list
The best weapons in XDefiant are the MP7, the ACR 6.8 and the TAC-50 sniper rifle. These three weapons will provide you with high efficiency in the game and are some of the most powerful weapons. However, there are other weapons that can also be very effective. The effectiveness of the weapons can vary depending on the map or situation. Below you will find the ranking of all weapons. Don’t forget to check out the current XDefiant codes before choosing a weapon for yourself.
S-Tier:
- ACR 6.8
- TAC-50
- MP7
- Vector .45 ACP
These weapons are at the top of their categories. Players using ACR and MP7 can easily handle the rest of the lobby. Technically, the MP7 is more versatile than the Vector, but the Vector is often able to outperform the MP7 in close combat.
A-Tier:
- AK-47
- M870
- MDR
- P90
- MK 20 SSR
- RPK-74
- 93R
All A-level guns can be very competitive. Each has features that make them worth using, but each can also have its own defining weakness. For example, the M870 is a shotgun with a huge one-shot kill potential, but you have to be very close to the target to do so, and there’s no room for error. The same can be said for other weapons.
B-Tier:
- M44
- M4A1
- M249
- MP5A2
- M9
- Double Barrel
- SVD
- M16A4
This is where we go beyond viability. Weapons like the M4A1 and MP5A2 are great options to start the game with. Over time, as players get more advanced weapons, these models become less relevant. They lack the damage to compete with higher levels. Some variants, such as the Double Barrel, can have serious drawbacks, such as long reload times. However, you can still successfully use them if you want to. Just be ready for new challenges.
C-Tier:
- D50
- 686 Magnum
- M1911
At this level, I have listed the other secondary weapons in XDefiant. The choice of secondary weapons should be based on mobility, and that’s why the 93R is considered the best choice. While these weapons can deal more damage and be more effective for potential exchanges, secondary weapons are generally pretty weak.
D-Tier:
- AA-12
- M60
In other words, the M60 is incredibly slow and doesn’t even have the highest damage output in its class. In a high time to kill (TTK) game based on fast movement, using a slow weapon can be fatal. The AA-12 isn’t as slow, but it lacks damage per shot. All other shotguns and SMGs do damage faster. Both of these are designed to put the game into heavy mode.
